Roland Kolbeck, PhD

Roland Kolbeck, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Roland is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at Spirovant Sciences, Inc. since 2020. Prior to this, they held various roles at MedImmune, where they served as the VP of R&D, Head Respiratory, Inflammation & Autoimmunity Research from 2016 to 2019. Before that, they were the Senior Director of Respiratory, Inflammation & Autoimmunity Research from 2011 to 2016 and the Director of the same department from 2007 to 2011. Roland also worked at Peptimmune as the Director of Autoimmune Therapies from 2005 to 2007. In addition, they gained experience at MILLENNIUM PHARMACEUTICALS, INC. as a Senior Scientist in Inflammation Research from 1999 to 2005 and as a Scientist in the same field from 1998 to 1999. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max-Planck-Institute for Neurobiology from 1995 to 1998.

Roland Kolbeck, PhD completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General at the University of Regensburg from 1985 to 1990. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Ph.D. in Neurobiochemistry at the Max-Planck-Institute for Neurobiology from 1990 to 1995.
