Tarika Wickremeratne

Tarika Wickremeratne has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tarika is currently working as the General Manager at Splash, a music technology company that aims to make music accessible to everyone. Prior to this, Tarika served as the Head of Operations & Communications at Cicada Innovations, Australia's leading deep tech incubator, where they focused on program management and scalability. Tarika also worked as a Freelance Writer, specializing in the tech industry, and collaborated with GradAustralia on their e-publication. Additionally, Tarika gained experience at Pureprofile, a market research company, where they started as a Senior Project Consultant and later became the Service Delivery Manager, leading a team of 7. Before entering the corporate world, they embarked on a nine-month journey as a full-time discoverer, exploring different countries and cultures. Tarika began their career as a Project Executive at Pureprofile and steadily rose to the position of Senior Account Manager, managing key accounts and overseeing sales and delivery operations. Their earlier roles include being a Producer/Writer/Photographer for a creative project in Sri Lanka, working as a Senior Producer/Presenter for a European-funded television production company, and serving as a Freelance Research Assistant/Production Assistant for Beach House Pictures Taiwan.

Tarika Wickremeratne completed a Master of Arts (Development Studies) from UNSW between the years 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they pursued an Arts degree at the University of Sydney from 2005 to 2008. Their fields of study during their undergraduate years included Art History, Gender Studies, Film Studies, and Spanish.
