Diego Feitosa

Diego Feitosa has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Diego is currently a Staff Software Engineer at Split, a position they have held since February 2020. Prior to their current role, they worked at ThoughtWorks for almost 9 years, starting as a Consultant Developer and eventually becoming a Lead Consultant Developer. At ThoughtWorks, they participated in various projects, leading teams, designing solutions, optimizing code and processes, modernizing legacy codebases, and ensuring system reliability. Diego mainly worked with Java, Gradle, Spring, and Vert technologies.

Before joining ThoughtWorks, Diego worked at Locaweb as a Developer, where they provided infrastructure services for different teams across the organization and played a key role in rewriting the company's call center and help desk application, implementing successful continuous delivery practices. Diego also coached team members on coding best practices and introduced a "test-first" culture and continuous integration tools.

Prior to Locaweb, Diego worked at Caelum as a Developer and Consultant. Diego worked on a client project focused on implementing the first service for healthcare companies in compliance with the Brazilian National Health Bureau (ANS) specification. Diego also developed systems for Caelum's internal use, such as managing students, courses, schedules, billing, and account information.

Earlier in their career, Diego worked at Laser Service Logística as a Developer, where they developed systems to automate the handling, tracking, and delivery processes of bank artifacts. These systems provided real-time information to customers and management, enabling quick issue resolution and fraud prevention.

Diego's first professional experience was as a Trainee at Amix, where they implemented reports for a network traffic monitoring system and rewrote older modules from procedural PHP 4 code to object-oriented PHP 5 code. Diego also maintained existing modules and developed new ones for an internal system. Diego worked with technologies such as PHP 4, PHP 5, JavaScript, MySQL, and Bash, and used version control tools like Subversion and CVS.

Diego Feitosa completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Centro Universitário Assunção from 2005 to 2008.
