Colleen M. Nelson

Colleen M. Nelson, CHC, ADAC, currently serves as the Compliance Officer and Civil Rights Program Manager at MultiCare Health System, a position held since July 2019, where responsibilities include implementing and developing the civil rights program and providing consultation on ADA and civil rights compliance. Previously, Colleen served as a Compliance Officer and Privacy & Civil Rights Auditor Investigator at MultiCare, supporting various directors in compliance and ethics initiatives. Experience also includes the role of Corporate Compliance Officer at The Arc of Anchorage from 2016 to 2018, overseeing compliance for a healthcare nonprofit. Colleen's background includes a decade as Lead Healthcare Investigator with the State of Alaska, focusing on complex investigations within the medical field, as well as a tenure at Nordstrom managing loss prevention and internal investigations. Colleen holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Washington.
