Thom Fountain has a long and varied career in the creative industry. Thom began their career in 2008 as an intern at Amble Down Records. From 2009 to 2011, they held various positions at The Spectator at UW-Eau Claire, including Editor-in-Chief, and was a BITS Educator and Help Desk Support at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2011. In 2012, they became the Managing Editor at Volume One, where they wrote over 350 stories for print and web publication. In 2015, they joined VML as a Campaigns Manager, creating and maintaining timelines and estimates for client projects and campaigns. In 2016, they moved to Draft Design House as a Copywriter and Strategist, leading strategy and copywriting across all brands and contributing to new business pitches. In 2017, they took on two roles, Copywriter at Target, where they established and executed voice for in-house brands, and Copywriter at RAZR, where they concepted and wrote direct mail, web video, social, and other campaigns across multiple clients. In 2018, they joined Saatchi & Saatchi as a Creative Supervisor (Copy) and Senior Copywriter, concepting and writing social, TV, email, and web copy for Tier II and Tier III Toyota and Lexus marketing. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Director, Editorial & Copy at SpokenLayer.

Thom Fountain attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 2008 to 2012 and studied Journalism + Design.
