Scott Dowding

Scott Dowding serves as the President of Sport Chek since January 2024, responsible for the overall strategic direction and growth of one of Canada's largest sporting goods retailers. Prior to this role, Scott held various senior positions at Canadian Tire Corporation from May 2008 to January 2024, including Senior Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis and Vice President of Analytics, where accountability encompassed ensuring the long-term financial health of the business. Additional experience includes serving as Business Unit CFO at both Mark's and Sport Chek, contributing to financial strategies and decision-making processes. Scott is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
