Simon MacQueen

Simon Macqueen has over 20 years of work experience in the sports industry. Simon started their career at Watford Football Club as a Football Development Officer, where they were responsible for developing football opportunities in the Borough of Dacorum. Simon also served as a Head Coach at the Watford FC Development Centres. Simon then joined The Football Association as a County Development Manager, where they worked until 2006. Simon then moved to Sport England, where they held various positions including Senior Regional Manager, NGB Relationship Manager, and Strategic Lead for NGB Relationships. In their most recent role at Sport England, Simon served as the Director of Strategy, responsible for leading the strategic direction of the organization.

Simon Macqueen began their education in 1994 at the University of Leeds, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology. Simon completed their undergraduate studies in 1997. In 1998, Simon went on to attend the University of Chester, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSC) in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology. Simon concluded their studies in this field in 1999.
