Tomos Watts has a diverse work experience background. Tomos began their career as a Motivational Manager and Driver for Pathways to Palestine in 2009. Tomos then pursued a Sport and Exercise Psychology Masters degree at Sheffield Hallam University from 2011 to 2012. During this time, they gained skills in data analysis, diagnosis, and treatment of specific problems using psychology.

In 2012, Tomos worked as a Mental Conditioning Coach for BodyLab NI, providing services to athletes and the public to enhance their mental performance through cognitive and behavioral techniques. Tomos also volunteered as a Play, Sports & Physical Activity Worker at Activity Sheffield, where they implemented health, well-being, and sporting activities for adults and children.

From 2013 to 2015, Tomos held various roles at Sheffield City Council, including the role of Project Officer - Performance. Tomos then worked at Opta as a Rugby Union Data Analyst from 2013 to 2015.

In 2015, Tomos joined British Cycling as an Insight Officer and later became a Research and Insight Analyst. Tomos also briefly worked as a Programme Support Officer.

Since 2018, Tomos has been working at Sport England, first as a Senior Analyst, Partner Performance, and currently as the Head of Partner Performance.

Tomos Watts completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Sheffield Hallam University, which they attended from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University, achieving a 2:1 classification. This degree spanned from 2007 to 2011. Their secondary education took place at Silverdale School from 1999 to 2005, where they earned 11 GCSE's, 3 A-Levels, and 1 AS qualification.
