Olive Loughnane currently serves as the Director of Transformation (Executive) at the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) since January 2021, and has been a Board Member and Chair of the High Performance Committee at Sport Ireland since March 2013. Previous experience includes various roles as a Statistician at the Central Statistics Office from April 2013 to December 2020, and participation as a Council Member in the inaugural Healthy Ireland Council from June 2014 to June 2017. As a former High Performance Athlete, Olive won the 2009 World Athletics Championship and competed in four consecutive Olympic Games. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of Galway, a Post Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing from Munster Technological University, a Master of Arts in Leadership & Strategy from the Institute of Public Administration, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership Development from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, alongside certification as a mediator from the Mediation Foundation of Ireland.
