Ole Andre Birkedal

Ole Andre Birkedal is a Senior Domain Architect at Sportradar, leading the Video Backend Team and overseeing the deployment of high concurrency transcoding software that streams over 1000 live matches daily, primarily using C++. Prior experience includes serving as a Development Advisor in R&D Computer Vision at National Oilwell Varco, utilizing OpenCV and C++, and working as a Software Developer at the Ship Manoeuvring Simulator Centre, where focus was on developing a crane simulator with a physics and rendering engine using OpenGL. Birkedal also gained experience as a Web Developer at NTNU, working with PHP and MySQL. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
