Howard Helene

Born and raised in New York City, Howard Helene was fortunate to receive a quality public education from kindergarten through post-graduate work.

His memories are of neighborhood schools being the anchor for the community, providing a full range of activities and programs available each day, many nights and on weekends.

He remembers receiving necessary vaccinations, ear and eye examinations along with substantive course work, dozens of fun outings and trips that exposed him to the many learning opportunities found in and around New York City.
