Nan Callahan

Nan Callahan is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public relations and digital engagement within the sports industry. At Sports Backers since May 2013, Nan has held several roles including PR and Communications Manager, Digital Engagement Manager, and Customer Engagement Coordinator, contributing to event promotion, content creation for social media, and writing feature stories for notable publications. Previous experience includes a Game Day Media Intern role with The Richmond Flying Squirrels, where media materials were produced and game operations supported. Additionally, freelance public relations assistance was provided to Arena Racing USA, and a Graduate Assistantship was held in Athletic Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University, conducting interviews and developing stories for multiple sports teams. Nan holds a Master’s degree in Sport Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
