Hala Abukhodair is an urban planner and code design expert currently at Sports Boulevard Foundation since October 2023, focusing on developing form-based codes that enhance community engagement and architectural innovation. Hala's experience includes a role as Research Assistant at Julia Watson LLC since August 2020, specializing in Indigenous vernacular infrastructure for sustainable technologies. Hala previously held multiple positions at Diriyah Gate Development Authority, from Urban Planning Specialist to Urban Planning Manager. Hala's engineering background includes architectural roles for the Riyadh Metro Project at Bechtel Corporation and contributions to underground station details at Arup. Hala holds a Master's degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Prince Sultan University.

Sports Boulevard Foundation
Sports Boulevard project is one of Riyadh’s Four Mega projects launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, on 19 March 2019. The project will be innovative destination that contributes to fulfilling a key goal of the Saudi Vision 2030 to promote Riyadh’s position among the world’s most livable cities. Sports Boulevard is the largest linear park and a widespread destination that attracts pedestrians, professional and amateur cyclists, and horse riders, alongside art and culture enthusiasts and eco-friends, altogether, on paths and spaces that create a healthy lifestyle.
