Chad Rader has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Chad started their career in 1992 as a Sports Writer for the Lawrence Journal-World. Chad then worked as an Assistant Sports Editor for the Emporia Gazette from 1996 to 1997, where they covered Emporia State University athletics and wrote sports columns. Chad later joined Sun Publications as a Feature Writer in 1997, focusing on writing stories and features about businesses and companies.
In 1998, Rader began their career in digital content and web management. Chad worked for the Kansas City Royals as the Site Editor for MLB.com, overseeing the migration of the Royals website to the new Major League Baseball portal. Chad also served on MLB's Internet Work Group and managed content development and planning for the Royals site. Rader continued their involvement with the Royals as the Internet/Publications Manager from 2000 to 2001.
Rader then transitioned to the technology industry, working for Cubic Applications as a Manager-Systems Analyst. In this role, they wrote technical documents for instruction manuals on simulation systems for the US Army exercise support. Chad later joined Sprint as a Project Manager I, coordinating web marketing projects for Sprint's website.
Rader's career in information security started in 2011 when they joined General Dynamics Information Technology as an Informance Assurance specialist. Chad then worked as an Information Assurance Engineer at Metova from 2014 to 2015. Chad later became an Information Security and Privacy Consultant at Littler Mendelson in 2015, focusing on information security and privacy.
Most recently, Rader has been the Director of Digital Content and Streaming at 810 WHB since 2007. In this role, they oversee the content on the company's website, web streaming, and digital advertising for Union Broadcasting. Chad is also responsible for producing high school sports programming on Sports Radio 810 WHB.
Chad Rader attended The University of Kansas from 1991 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Communications. Their field of study specialized in Business Communications with a focus on Public Relations.
