Mark Briers currently serves as the Government Relations Manager at Sportsbet, a position held since September 2022. Prior experience includes significant roles within the Australian Government from July 2015 to August 2022, where Mark worked as a Senior Adviser to Senator Hon Anne Ruston, as well as in various advisory capacities for Senator Hon Mitch Fifield. Mark's career in politics began at the Parliament of Victoria as an Electorate Officer for Andrew Elsbury MLC between February 2013 and December 2014. In addition to political experience, Mark held leadership positions at Swinburne Student Union as President and Vice President from January 2011 to December 2012. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, Media & Communication from Swinburne University of Technology, attended from 2008 to 2013, and completed education at Carey Baptist Grammar School from 2000 to 2006.
