Catherine Whelan

Catherine Whelan is an accomplished media professional with a strong background in editorial strategy, content, and communications. Currently serving as Managing Editor at Spotify since March 2021, Catherine previously held senior editorial roles at NPR and BBC News, where responsibilities included producing radio content for notable programs. Notable experience also includes producing for WGBH's Boston Public Radio and contributing to the Peabody Award-winning series State of the Re:Union. Catherine's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an Ordinary Degree in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh.
