Gu Jian

Gu Jian is a highly experienced product designer and executive storyteller currently working at Spotify since 2021, where responsibility includes leading the design for Spotify's integration partnership with Samsung, achieving a breakthrough on a long-sought feature. Prior to Spotify, Gu Jian held the position of principal designer and head of design at Doktor.se from 2018 to 2021, reimagining the app and internal systems to significantly improve user ratings. Gu Jian launched GU DESIGN in 2007, providing design services to art galleries and consulting for software companies. As a founding designer at Instabridge from 2012 to 2015, Gu Jian contributed to the app's rapid growth to over one million users. Earlier entrepreneurial endeavors included facilitating wooden villa exports to China and coordinating music production for a Warner Brother movie. Gu Jian's educational background includes master's degrees in Engineering and Management of Information Systems from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and in Art and Technology from Chalmers University of Technology.
