Rupert Thacker has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Rupert currently serves as the Broadcast Production Manager at the Rugby League World Cup 2021. Prior to their current role, they were the Head of Commercial Services at Spotlight Sports Group. Rupert also worked as a Senior Sponsorship, Events, and Marketing Professional as a Consultant from 2018 to 2020. In 2017, they held the position of Sportsbook Marketing Director and later as the Senior Manager of Media and Market Development at Amaya. Before that, they worked at Ladbrokes, where they held various roles including Head of Media and Sponsorship. Rupert Thacker has also worked as an Independent Consultant for Racing UK and Highflyer Productions. Rupert held the role of Business Manager, Channel 4 Racing at Channel 4 and worked as a Marketing Manager at Victor Chandler. Rupert started their career in 1992 at Discovery Channel, where they worked in Consumer Marketing until 1999.

Rupert Thacker attended Haberdashers Aske's School in 1990. Rupert then pursued a degree in Business Studies at the University of Westminster from 1990 to 1993, obtaining a 2:1 (Hons) degree.
