Milite Abraha has a diverse work experience in various research and engineering roles.
From 2022 onwards, Milite worked as a Research Engineer at SPR Therapeutics, Inc.
Prior to that, Milite was a Graduate Student in the MS-TraIn Program at North Carolina State University from 2021 to 2022. This program focused on medical device development and entrepreneurship.
From 2017 to 2021, Milite worked as a Research Analyst at The Duke Human Vaccine Institute. They conducted research to develop vaccines and diagnostic devices for infectious diseases and performed data analysis.
In 2016, Milite was a Research Assistant at A.T. Still University, where they studied the anticancer action of hormones and vitamins on melanoma cells and performed quantitative analysis of bioassays.
Furthermore, Milite had multiple roles at Truman State University. They worked as a Laboratory Assistant in the Biology Department, a Tutor in the Mathematics Department, and a Student Researcher in the Physics Department. In the latter role, they developed a computational model for Capacitance Tomography.
Lastly, in 2015, Milite worked as a Student Researcher in the Biophysics Department at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where they evaluated the effectiveness of techniques to reduce MR image artifacts caused by spinal implants.
Milite Abraha obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics with a minor in Biology from Truman State University from 2012 to 2016. They then attended North Carolina State University from 2021 to 2022, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Milite also obtained various certifications, including R Statistics Essential Training from LinkedIn in April 2020, Python for Everybody Specialization from Coursera in April 2018, and Mental Health First Aid USA from the National Council for Behavioral Health in February 2017.
