Ahmed Ewais

Machine Learning Engineer at Spree3D

Ahmed Ewais has worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Spree3D since November 2020. Prior to that, they were a Machine Intelligence Researcher at Vkansee Technology Inc. from January 2018 to November 2020. During their time at Vkansee, they conducted research on fingerprint matching and spoofing detection using neural networks, implemented models to address fingerprint dryness, and contributed to the design and development of a standalone library for neural net inference in C++. Before that, Ahmed worked as an Engineering Intern at Microsoft from June 2017 to November 2017. At Microsoft, they focused on speech recognition, speaker recognition, and verification, and implemented neural nets to improve accuracy in text-dependent speaker recognition.

Ahmed Ewais pursued their education in computer engineering and computer science. Ahmed began their academic journey in 2013 at The American University in Cairo, where they earned their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Engineering in 2018. Ahmed then decided to further enhance their knowledge and enrolled at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in 2021. Ahmed will graduate with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science in 2023.
