Alaa Anani

Alaa Anani has a diverse range of work experiences in various organizations. In 2017, they served as the Robotics Control Software Team Leader for the MATE Egypt Regional ROV Competition, where they led a team in developing control software for an underwater vehicle. They also worked as a Robotics Control Engineer for Minesweepers: Towards a Landmine-Free World, implementing a wireless control system and achieving 4th place regionally in the competition.

In 2020, Alaa worked as a Data Science Intern at Synapse Analytics, where they automated the data pre-processing stage and utilized LSTM RNNs for time-series analysis. They also had a role as a Summer Academy Intern at Dell Technologies during the same year.

In 2021, Alaa started a doctoral researcher position at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. They also worked as a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Spree3D and a Research Intern at EPFL.
