Kamiar obtained their Ph.D./M.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 2001 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic between 1999 and 2001. Kamiar began their academic journey at Sharif University of Technology, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from 1995 to 1999.
