"My philosophy in health care is that everyone deserves 'loving'. Health care is not a discriminatory industry, and I continuously reinforce that with my team. Whether the choices our residents made led them to needing our assistance, or if it's just the natural course of life everyone deserves 'loving'. I often say that no one wants to be in a skilled nursing facility, but since they're here it's our job to make their stay as enjoyable as possible. No matter if they are here for rehab and going home, or living with us long-term, it's our job to treat them with the same dignity and respect we would want for ourselves or our loved ones."
Emily is a proud receiver of the 2014, 2015, and 2016 Eli Pick Leadership Award, she's been nominated twice for the Kent State University Human Development and Family Studies Hall of Fame, and was nominated as the 30 under 30 for Cleveland Young Professionals Award. She belongs to OHCA, ACHE and ACHE early careerist, and AHCA. Her facilities have received a Bronze Award, 5 Star Facility Award, and 2 Deficiency Free Surveys which led to many new company wide initiatives.
