Thor Høy's work experience begins in 1996 as a Sergeant in the Danish Armed Forces. Thor later worked as a Carpenter & Joiner as a self-employed individual from 1999 to 2006. In 2010, they worked as a 3D artist at Laerdal Sophus. Thor then joined Georg Jensen in 2011, initially as a Product Developer and later as a Jewellery Designer, focusing primarily on men's jewellery. From 2013 to 2015, they also worked as a Product Developer at Georg Jensen. In 2016, they joined Rosendahl Design Group A/S as a Product Designer, where they created new products for various brands, including Rosendahl and Holmegaard. In 2017, Thor Høy co-founded and served as the chief creative at Men Up North - Jewellery for Men until January 2021. In 2016, they also started their own design company, THdesign, where they focused on designing and developing lighting, jewellery, furniture, and accessories. Thor'smost recent position is as Head of Design at Spring Copenhagen, starting in November 2022.

Thor Høy's education history begins in 1992 when they attended Technical College for four years, studying to become a Carpenter and Joiner. After completing their degree, they pursued various courses in 3D in 2007. In 2008, they enrolled at KEA - Copenhagen School of Design and Technology, earning a degree in Product Developer with a focus on Industrial and Product Design in 2010. From 2009 to 2011, Thor took part in several courses related to Jewelry Making, 3D, and other subjects. In 2015, they engaged in private tuition where they studied Chinese culture, tradition, symbolics, and social dynamics.
