Kendra James, LCMHC, has extensive experience in the mental health field. Kendra started their career in 2014 as a Psychotherapist at East Mental Health and Wellness Center, LLC., where they provided therapy to adults with various mental disorders and conducted assessments and evaluations. In 2016, they joined B&D Behavioral Health as an Intake Coordinator, responsible for coordinating client schedules, conducting diagnostic assessments, and diagnosing mental health and substance abuse disorders. That same year, they also began working at Workplace Options as an EAP Counselor and Case Manager, providing counseling and crisis management services. In 2019, they were promoted to Clinical Team Lead at Workplace Options, where they managed the productivity and clinical quality of staff, conducted staff training, and coached on clinical intervention. Most recently, in 2022, Kendra joined Spring Health as a Lead Clinical Care Navigator, providing consultation and assistance to members regarding mental health, substance use, and family/relationship concerns. Kendra also assesses for risk and manages member crises. Overall, Kendra has a diverse background in clinical care, counseling, case management, and team leadership.
Kendra James, LCMHC, obtained their Bachelor's of Science in Intercultural Studies from Liberty University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Kendra later pursued a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the same institution, completing their studies from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Kendra has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. These certifications include "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," "Supporting Your Mental Health While Working from Home," and "Cybersecurity at Work," all obtained from LinkedIn in the months of April and March 2022.
