Samaila Atsen Bako

Samaila Atsen Bako is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Security Evangelist at Code For Africa, where responsibilities include leading security initiatives, creating a security roadmap, and developing digital security training for at-risk communities. Additionally, Samaila co-founded the GoLegit Cyber Initiative to address cybercrime through strategic development and partnerships. With extensive experience as a Cyber Security Career Track Mentor at Springboard, Samaila provides one-on-one mentorship to students. As Director of Communication at the Cyber Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN), responsibilities encompass representation, content development, and partnership negotiations. Previous roles include Cybersecurity Awareness Trainer at Sandwell Engineering Limited and an ERP Consultant at MCEE Business Solutions. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Management from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the American University of Nigeria.
