Frank Rybicki

Editor-in-chief, 3d Printing In Medicine at Springer Nature

Frank Rybicki has held various roles throughout their career. Most recently, they are the Chair of the Department of Radiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. Prior to this, they served as the Editor-in-Chief for 3D Printing in Medicine at the Springer Nature Group and as the Founding Chair of the 3D Printing Special Interest Group at the Radiological Society of North America. Frank also worked as a Consultant at Imagia Canexia Health and as the Vice Chair of Operations & Quality in the Department of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Rybicki was the Medical Director/Chief of Medical Affairs at Imagia and served as the Chair of Appropriateness Criteria at the American College of Radiology. Earlier in their career, they were a Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and The Ottawa Hospital, and they worked as the Director of the Applied Imaging Science Laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Rybicki specializes in cardiovascular imaging, advanced image post-processing, medical 3D printing, and artificial intelligence.

Frank Rybicki completed their education with a strong academic background. Frank graduated from The Lawrenceville School in 1985 with a High School Diploma. Frank then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania from 1985 to 1989, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics. Concurrently, they also attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nuclear Engineering/ Medical Engineering in 1996.

Furthermore, Frank Rybicki attended Harvard Medical School from 1989 to 1996, where they obtained both an M.D and a PhD degree in Medicine. This comprehensive education has prepared him well for their future endeavors in the medical field.

In addition to their educational accomplishments, Frank Rybicki has acquired additional certifications. In 2008, they became a Fellow of the American Heart Association, and in 2010, they became a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. These certifications further enhance their expertise and professional standing in the medical community.
