Patrick Marton

Patrick Marton serves as Executive Editor at Springer Nature since March 2007, leading content acquisition for the largest collection of laboratory protocols in the life and biomedical sciences, including the esteemed Methods in Molecular Biology series and the Springer Protocols database. Responsibilities encompass managing over 200 new book contracts and maintaining a portfolio exceeding 2,000 titles with a global acquisition team. Prior roles at Springer Nature include Senior Editor and Managing Editor for Springer Protocols, where Patrick contributed significantly to content management and publication output. Experience at Humana Press involved overseeing monograph publishing in various biomedical fields and managing multiple book series. Additionally, Patrick has held teaching positions at Ramapo College of New Jersey, Rutgers University, and Ohio University, alongside earning a Master’s Degree in Critical Theory and English from Ohio University and a BS in English Literature from Towson University.
