Rupkatha Banerjee, Ph.D., serves as a Staff Scientist at The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology since January 2024 and as an Associate Editor for Molecular Neurobiology at Springer Nature Group since August 2023. Currently, Rupkatha holds the position of Frenchman's Creek Fellow and Vice President of the Society of Research Fellows at Scripps Research, where responsibilities include screening mitochondria protective compounds in ALS iPSC derived human neurons. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University at Buffalo from August 2014 to July 2020, focusing on Axonal transport in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. Rupkatha Banerjee earned a Ph.D. in Neurobiology and Neurosciences and a Master's degree in Biological Sciences from the University at Buffalo and holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology from St Xavier's College, Kolkata.
