Marcus E. Johnson, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning multiple sectors. Marcus E. Johnson, MPH has an extensive education history. Marcus E. earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Tuskegee University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Community Health Education at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, from 2012 to 2014. Continuing their education, Marcus received their Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University, a program they are expected to complete in 2023.
In addition to their formal degrees, Marcus has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Marcus also received a certification as a Certified HIV Prevention Tester & Counselor from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) in 2015. Lastly, in 2016, they became a Mental Health First Aid Counselor through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
