Catherine Baney

Catherine Baney currently serves as the Assistant Head of Middle School at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, a position held since July 2018, where responsibilities include overseeing student support, collaborating with faculty, and coordinating division-wide programs. Prior to this role, Catherine served as a History Teacher at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, leading 8th grade advisory teams and revamping curricula. Previous experience includes teaching social studies and math at Fairfax County Public Schools and roles in strategic communications with organizations such as DAI and Booz Allen Hamilton. Catherine holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University, a Graduate Certificate in National Security Studies from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics from Penn State University.
