Santiago Parpal Tamburini has had a diverse work experience. Santiago started as a Postdoc at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2001 and then moved on to work as a Postdoc at Astra Zeneca from 2004 to 2006. Santiago later joined AstraZeneca as a Senior Research Scientist, focusing on CNS&Pain, from 2007 to 2012. Santiago then worked as a Project Coordinator at Uppsala University Drug Optimization and Pharmaceutical Profiling Platform in 2013. Since 2014, Santiago has been working at Sprint Bioscience, starting as a Scientist and progressing to roles such as Associate Principal Scientist, Principal Scientist, and currently as a Project Lead. Santiago has contributed to various projects and played a crucial role in drug development strategies, improving scientific and screening standards, and strategic planning within the company.
Santiago Parpal Tamburini received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 1987 to 1993. Later, they pursued a PhD in Medical Faculty-Cell Biology Department at Linköping University from 1996 to 2001.
