Abhaya Agarwal

Abhaya Agarwal has a diverse work experience spanning 18 years. In 2021, they began working as an Engineer at Sprinto HQ, where they are responsible for implementing and maintaining SoC 2, ISO27001, and GDPR compliance. From 2008 to 2021, they were Co-Founder and Director at Pothi.com (Mudranik Technologies Pvt Ltd), an on Demand publishing platform for independent authors. From 2013 to 2021, they were Co-Founder at InstaScribe.com, which helps authors create beautiful e-books that work consistently on multiple platforms. From 2010 to 2021, they were Teaching Twitter to Computers at WisdomTap. From 2004 to 2010, they were Technical Lead at Read Ink Technologies, where they guided engineers in building a online handwriting recognition system. Finally, from 2003 to 2004, they were a Research Assistant at Media Lab Asia, IIT Kanpur, where they worked in the BRiCS project towards developing a programming interface for a low cost robot building kits.

Abhaya Agarwal began their educational journey in 1998 at Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, where they studied for one year. Abhaya then moved on to Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where they obtained a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2003. After that, they pursued a MS in Language Technologies, Machine Translation at Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed in 2008.
