Alexey Romanov

Alexey Romanov is a highly experienced geoscientist with expertise in reservoir characterization, modeling, and integrated reservoir studies. Currently serving as Senior Manager and Senior Geoscientist at Sproule since May 2009, Alexey specializes in combining seismic, petrophysics, geology, and engineering data for comprehensive geological assessments, as well as conducting uncertainty evaluations and basin modeling. Previous roles include Head of Exploration Section at Samara-Nafta (Hess Corporation), focusing on exploration program planning and prospect evaluation, and various positions at SamaraNIPIneft and Geocentre RT, where geological modeling and reservoir simulation were key responsibilities. Academic credentials include a PhD in Petroleum Chemistry and Engineering from the Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry, an MSc in Reservoir Evaluation and Management from Heriot-Watt University, and an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Kazan State University.
