Sproule
Derek Holst is a seasoned petroleum engineer with over three decades of experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the Team Lead for Engineering and a Senior Petroleum Engineer and Partner at Sproule since July 2013, Derek conducts reserves evaluations, reservoir simulation studies, and audits gas storage inventory reports, alongside experience in international projects across Canada, Libya, Colombia, and Angola. Prior to this role, Derek held positions as a Senior Petroleum Engineer and Associate at Sproule International Limited and as Vice President at PHH Petroleum Consultants Ltd., where corporate financial and marketing operations were managed. Derek's early career at PHH Petroleum included roles as Senior Reservoir Engineer and Reservoir Engineer. Educational qualifications include a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary obtained between 1986 and 1991.
