Matthew Thomas

Matthew Thomas currently serves as Team Lead in Engineering at Sproule, a position held since May 2022. Prior to this role, Matthew accumulated extensive experience in the petroleum engineering field, working as a Senior Petroleum Engineer at California Resources Corporation from March 2015 to June 2020, and as Reserves Coordinator at the same company. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Development Engineer at Encana Corporation from November 2011 to December 2014, and as Senior Evaluator at Deloitte for a brief period in 2011. Matthew began their career as an Evaluator at AJM Petroleum Consultants, where Matthew worked from September 2005 until June 2011. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Diploma in Engineering from St. Francis Xavier University.
