Abe Castro

Abe Castro has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 2002. Abe began their career as an Analytical Chemist at Impax Laboratories in 2002. Abe then moved to Gilead Sciences in 2003, where they held the roles of Senior Clinical Research Associate and Senior Research Associate. In 2012, Abe joined Astex Pharmaceuticals as a Clinical Trial Manager. Abe then moved to Jazz Pharmaceuticals in 2014, where they held the role of Clinical Trials Manager. In 2015, Abe joined Zogenix, Inc. and held the roles of Associate Director, Clinical Operations and Clinical Program Manager, Clinical Operations. In 2019, Abe joined Respira Therapeutics, Inc. as Director Clinical Operations and Alector as Senior Director Clinical Operations and Director Clinical Operations. In 2022, Abe will join Spruce Biosciences as Senior Director Clinical Development Operations.

Abe Castro earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from California State University - East Bay in 2002. Abe then completed a Clinical Trial Certificate from The George Washington University in 2007 and an MSHS in Clinical Research Administration from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2009.
