Charles Wang

Charles Wang serves as the Head of Patents (HK) and Senior Associate at Spruson & Ferguson since August 2019, specializing in patent strategy advisory, freedom-to-operate analyses, and prosecution for a diverse client base. Prior experience includes roles as Patent Counsel at Alpha Power Solutions Limited, where patent applications were filed in China and the US, and as an Associate at Marks & Clerk, focusing on patent drafting, filing, and strategy across various jurisdictions. Charles has also worked as a Chinese Patent Attorney at Eagle IP Limited and China Patent Agency (Hong Kong) Limited, handling intellectual property strategies for a wide range of technological fields. Charles holds a Master of Intellectual Property from the University of Technology Sydney and multiple advanced degrees in law and engineering from prominent institutions, including The University of Hong Kong and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
