Sebastian Petty

Sebastian Petty currently serves as the Manager of Transportation Policy at SPUR, a position held since August 2022. Prior experience includes over nine years at the San Mateo County Transit District, where roles encompassed Director of Special Projects, Deputy Chief of Caltrain Planning, Director of Policy Development, Senior Policy Advisor, Principal Planner for the Caltrain Modernization Program, and Senior Planner for the same program. Prior to this, Sebastian worked at the Presidio Trust as a Transportation Operations Specialist and at Wilbur Smith Associates as a Transportation Planner. Early career experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the UC Transportation Center and an internship with AC Transit. Sebastian holds a Master of City and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, both from the University of California, Berkeley.
