Zan Liu

Director Of Engineering, Coil Products at SPX Cooling Tech, LLC

Zan Liu has a diverse and extensive work history in the field of thermal technology and heat transfer products. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Product Applications Engineer at Baltimore Aircoil Company before moving on to become an Advanced R&D Engineer, where they led research and development programs for BAC's latest heat exchangers. In 2010, Zan was promoted to Assistant Manager of Research and Development, where they oversaw various aspects of product development and managed pre-competitive research. From 2012 to 2015, Zan worked as a Senior Principal Engineer, overseeing BAC's Thermal Technology Group and representing the organization in industrial organizations. Following this role, Zan joined Johnson Controls as a Senior Applications Manager, focusing on refrigeration and hybrid cooling product development. In 2016, they took on the role of Senior Product Manager, responsible for managing Johnson Controls' heat transfer equipment product portfolios. Most recently, in 2020, Zan joined SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc. as the Director of Engineering for Coil Products.

Zan Liu has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Global Marketing from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business. Additionally, Zan Liu holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. In 2012, Zan Liu obtained the certification of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
