Charlie Clapp

Charlie Clapp has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent role is as a Principal Engineer at SpyGlass Pharma, Inc. starting in November 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Research and Development Program Manager at Laguna Tech USA from January 2021 to October 2023.

From 2017 to 2021, Charlie held various roles at Edwards Lifesciences, including Staff Engineer and Sr. Engineer in Process Engineering.

Before that, they worked at JenaValve Technology, Inc. from 2014 to 2017, starting as a Valve Manufacturing Engineer and progressing to Senior Engineer and eventually Staff Engineer. During their time at JenaValve, Charlie was instrumental in leading international manufacturing transfer, driving continuous improvement efforts, and collaborating with R&D for process development and validation.

Charlie's earlier work experience includes a role as a Research Technician at The Scripps Research Institute in 2013 and a CIRM Internship at the same institute from 2012 to 2013.

Charlie Clapp obtained a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus in Stem Cell Research from California Polytechnic State University. Charlie also holds a CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross.
