Rohan Budhiraja

Rohan Budhiraja has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of robotics and research engineering.

Rohan is currently working as a Robotics Engineer at SquareMind since June 2022. Previously, they worked as a Research Engineer at Inria from February 2021 to May 2022.

Prior to that, Rohan served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at LAAS-CNRS from January 2020 to January 2021, where they focused on the problem of Multi-body Locomotion generation. During their doctoral studies at LAAS-CNRS from November 2015 to November 2019, they worked on creating a solver that efficiently solves the general/holistic locomotion problem while exploiting its structure for realistic solutions. Additionally, they also worked as a Software Engineer during the initial period of their doctoral program from November 2015 to November 2016.

Rohan's work experience also includes a research internship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from April 2013 to October 2013, and an internship trainee position at JCB India Ltd. from May 2012 to July 2012.

Rohan Budhiraja began their education journey in 2009 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Engineering. Rohan completed this degree in 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to pursue a Master of Information Science and Technology in Mechano-Informatics at The University of Tokyo. Rohan attended this institution from 2013 to 2015. Finally, Rohan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation at the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse from 2016 to 2019.
