Bogdan Florea

Bogdan Florea is a quantitative researcher with extensive experience in fixed income and interest rates derivatives modeling. Currently employed at Squarepoint Capital since April 2022, Bogdan previously worked at Citadel Investment Group for eight years, focusing on interest rates derivatives modeling for the Global Fixed Income fund. Prior to that, Bogdan served as Vice President and Associate in Fixed Income Quantitative Research at BNP Paribas, specializing in exotic and flow interest rates derivatives. Early in the career, Bogdan held a Research Associate position at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, where string theory model building was the primary focus, and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Rutgers University, investigating geometrical and topological aspects of string theory. Bogdan earned a DPhil in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Oxford between 1999 and 2002.
