Boston Cheong

Boston Cheong is a software engineer currently employed at Squarepoint Capital since June 2021, having previously served as a software engineer intern at the same company for a short period in 2020. With an extensive background in software engineering, Boston also gained experience as a research assistant at the National University of Singapore from July 2019 to May 2020 and completed internships at August Robotics and Lemnis Technologies. Additionally, Boston undertook an internship at the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, where assistance was provided in the development of an automated malicious website detection toolkit. Prior to pursuing a career in technology, Boston served as a lieutenant and infantry officer in the Singapore Armed Forces from 2015 to 2017, commanding a platoon during training and operations. Boston holds a Bachelor of Computing in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, supplemented by a NOC program in Shen Zhen and previous education at Tembusu College and Victoria Junior College.
