Egon Ruetsche

Egon Ruetsche is a seasoned quantitative researcher with extensive experience in the financial industry. Currently serving as a Quantitative Researcher at Squarepoint Capital since February 2023, Ruetsche previously held the position of Senior Researcher at Systematica Investments from November 2019 to September 2022. As a Co-Founder of the Systematic Trading Group at Aquila Capital from January 2017 to September 2019, Ruetsche co-developed in-house quantitative strategies with an emphasis on managed futures and cash equities. Earlier roles include being a Partner at the Swiss Affiliate of Achievement Asset Management LLC, where responsibilities included developing managed futures and smart beta products, and a Senior Researcher at Man AHL focusing on volatility arbitrage strategies. Ruetsche's career began at Zürcher Kantonalbank as a Front Office Quant and Financial Engineer. Educationally, Ruetsche earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics as well as a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from ETH Zürich.
