Steven Ettema

Steven Ettema is a quantitative researcher at Squarepoint Capital, specializing in the research, development, and implementation of systematic intraday trading strategies since June 2022. Previously, Steven served as a hydraulics tutor at the University of Oxford and worked as a summer associate at Goldman Sachs in the model risk management team. Prior experience includes a role as a coastal engineer at BMT, focusing on hydrodynamic, wave, and sediment modelling, and tutoring at the University of Queensland in introductory structural and fluid mechanics. Steven holds a DPhil in Engineering Science with a focus on Marine Renewables from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from The University of Queensland.
