Yiyang Luo is a quantitative researcher at Squarepoint Capital since November 2020, previously serving in various quantitative trading roles at Virtu Financial, where responsibilities included market making for international equity ETFs and commodities, as well as cash treasury market making. Prior experience includes a quant trader position at KCG Holdings, focusing on ETF market making strategies, and a graduate research assistantship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where research centered on the impacts of financial crises on U.S. equity market structure. Yiyang holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and dual Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science and Engineering from MIT. Additionally, Yiyang demonstrated leadership as president of the China Development Initiative and the Club of Undergraduate Chinese Nationals at MIT. Early career experience includes teaching in the Jeju Global Initiative.
