Alan Christianson has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and system administration. Alan has worked as a Lead Platform Engineer at SRAM, LLC since November 2018, where they focus on designing and building reliable and scalable web services. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at SRAM, LLC from July 2015 to November 2018, responsible for maintaining and improving Quarqnet and Quarq Race Intelligence systems. Before joining SRAM, LLC, Alan worked as a Software Engineer at Dakota Legal Software, Inc. from June 2005 to March 2014, where they designed and developed infrastructure components for legal software products. Alan also has experience as a Software Engineer at Golden West Technologies and Internet Solutions from September 2006 to April 2011, working on custom high-speed servers and software solutions for internet service providers. In addition, Alan has worked as an Instructor at National American University, teaching a course on Linux System Administration. Alan also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, instructing and aiding undergraduate students in software development.

Alan Christianson has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from South Dakota Mines, which they earned between 2000 and 2005. Alan further pursued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2010.
