Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) and Team Lead at SRC Technologies

Preston Carter, MS, CISSP has over 15 years of experience in the information security field. From 2014 to present, they have been employed with SRC Technologies Inc. as an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) and Team Lead. In this role, they synchronize and deploys bi-directional file transfer channels between customers on various classification domains, oversees all security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities, and is a key contributor in building security architecture and building IA into operational environments. From 2013 to 2014, they worked for DigiFlight, Inc. as an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) where they directed the integration of VOIP cross-domain solution systems into virtual environments, analyzed, designed, and incorporated security architectures, and discovered security flaws and vulnerabilities in software and systems while providing mitigation strategies. From 2005 to 2013, they were employed with Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Test Engineer and Domain Solutions Specialist. In this role, they operated as an Information System Security Engineer, Senior Test Engineer, and a Domain Solutions Specialist, and spearheaded the development and implementation of one-way link (OWL) cross domain solution systems and designed collaborative enterprise cross-domain solution (CDS) systems to create bi-directional file transfers.

Preston Carter holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Drexel University in 2005. Preston is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), which was obtained from (ISC)².
