Mitch Rasmussen

Highly regarded as a trusted partner and collaborative problem-solver, Mitch brings more than 30 years of experience working at all levels of state and local government in Minnesota. Mitch joined SRF after serving as the Assistant Commissioner – State Aid Division for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. In this position, he led state aid and federal funding for cities and counties and served on MnDOT’s leadership team to help shape MnDOT’s direction and policy positions as they relate to local agencies. Prior to MnDOT, Mitch held positions as the Scott County Engineer/Public Works Director, Burnsville City Engineer, and Rice County Engineer. Mitch’s diverse background includes all facets of design and construction as well as specialized knowledge in funding programs and processes, interagency cooperation, and asset management.
